AFCAT 2 2024: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has sought Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) from eager and eligible individuals for recruitment to the vacancies of Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches in the Indian Air Force through Air Force Common Admission Test, which will be available on the official website (afcat.cdac.in).

Important Dates

Eligibility

AFCAT 2 2024 Age Limit

• Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): Candidates should be born between 2nd July 1999 to 1st July 2005, both dates inclusive (20 to 26 Years as of 1st July 2025).
• Flying Branch and NCC Special Entry: Candidates should be born between 2nd July 2001 to 1st July 2005, both dates inclusive (20 to 24 Years as of 1st July 2025).

AFCAT 2 2024 Education Qualification

Candidates must confirm that they fulfil all the qualifying criteria before applying for this position. However, the Commission has depicted the requirements for eligibility conditions as follows:

• Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Degree and 10+2
• Flying Branch: 12th with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics + Graduation
• Ground Duty (Technical): Engineering Degree and 12th with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics
• NCC Special Entry: Graduate + NCC ‘C’ Certificate

• Each question will be of 3 marks.

AFCAT 2/2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for AFCAT 2 2024 is given in the below section. The standard of all the subject questions will be of graduation level except numerical ability. The standard of numerical ability questions will be of matriculation level.

• General Awareness: History, Geography, Sports, National & International Organisations, Art & Culture, Personalities, Environment & Ecology, Indian Polity, Economy, Basic Science Based Knowledge, Science & Technology, Current Affairs (National & International), Defence.
• Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning
• English: Comprehension, Detect Error in Sentence, Sentence Completion/ Filling in of correct word, Synonym/ Antonym, Cloze Test or Fill in the Gaps in a paragraph, Idioms and Phrases, Analogy, Sentence Rearranging, Substitution in a Sentence/ One Word Substitution.
• Numerical Ability: Decimal Fraction, Time and Work, Average/ Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Simple and Compound Interest, Time & Distance and Races (Trains/ Boats & Streams), Area and Perimeter, Probability, Number System & Number Series, Mixture & Allegation Rules, Clocks.
